Hometown Sweethearts: Hello friends
The Hometown Sweethearts are one of the best party bands going today. This trio has pulled together a list of songs that are as eclectic as they come. 80’s new wave, classic country, oldies, disco, T.V. theme songs, 70’s A.M. ballads, hip-hop, college rock, and everything in between. If you love it, they’ll play it.
This band is not like any cover band you’ve heard before. At the core of the Hometown Sweethearts, you’ll find a well oiled, rhythm machine and a good sense of humor. They’ll take a song you cherish, or a song you haven’t heard in 15 years, and add a little “Hometown Flavor.” Before you know it, you’ll be dancing the night away to everything from Neil Diamond and Johnny Cash to R. Kelly and Talking Heads. They’ve been pumping energy into songs that you’ve never dreamed possible since the very beginning.
In the seven years the band has been together, they’ve performed over 1000 shows all over the country. Now residing in New York, (though originally hailing from Madison Wisconsin,) they have been championed as Madison’s Favorite Cover Band by the readers of local newspaper, “The Isthmus.”
Hometown Sweethearts have a song for everybody. They are one of the few bands that everyone can get on board with. From even the most finicky of music lovers, to the casual music listener, to top 40 fans, to even Grandpa, folks come away with a smile on their face and a kick in their step...a cover band that even hipsters can get down to.
